Allergen Awareness Training – Factory Team

The BRC standard for Food Safety – Issue 7 now specifies that all relevant personnel shall receive ‘Allergen Awareness Training’.

Food Labelling Compliance

Level 3 Award in Education and Training

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an introduction to teaching that will give an insight into the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training, how to plan and deliver inclusive teaching sessions and how to assess and give constructive feedback.

This is a short, introductory, knowledge-based teaching qualification and has no minimum teaching practice requirement – except to engage in a short microteaching session – so may be undertaken by individuals who are not in a teaching role or who have just started a teaching role.

Candidates who successfully complete this qualification will have a fundamental understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a teacher/trainer in relation to legislation, equality, diversity, inclusivity and meeting the needs of learners. They will be able to sequence learning, plan and deliver sessions, using appropriate resources and teaching methods.

Level 3 Award in HACCP for Food Manufacturing

This Level 3 qualification covers the importance of HACCP-based food safety management procedures, the preliminary processes for HACCP-based procedures, development of the procedures, monitoring of critical control points and corrective actions and the evaluation of the procedures.

Holders of this qualification will have the appropriate knowledge and understanding to be an integral part of a HACCP team and to supervise the implementation of a HACCP-based system in the work environment.

This programme is usually delivered over three days and assessment is by a 90 minute examination consisting of 45 multiple-choice questions.

The Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering is designed for those who are supervisors of food handlers in catering.
