I am a very active person so when lockdown was announced I started to think about how I would stay exercising. I am not able to swim at the local pool at the moment, however I have been able to carry on running. I follow a training plan and I am still training for a half marathon later this year which has not yet been cancelled. I have also increased my strength, conditioning workouts, and yoga/pilates training, this has been good for my body and mind.
The weather has been beautiful which has been a blessing, in more recent weeks I have been walking more and exploring local areas. I love finding new footpaths and seeing where they lead! I go out with my two children, however they spend so much time climbing trees that I don’t get to walk much!
I have been home-schooling my two children which has been a struggle sometimes, it has taken adjustments from all of us; there has been a few tears and tantrums along the way. Despite this, it has been great spending more time with my boys even though my food bills have increased massively!
I love to read and have been reading more during lockdown, I have read many books which have been on my reading list for a while. I have also been doing a nutrition course during lockdown which again I have been wanting to do for a while.
