The beginning of lockdown was spent adapting to the ‘new normal’ of working at my dining room table, not being able to see my friends and family and trying our hardest to take advantage of the 1 piece of exercise a day rule. We went on daily walks to the local park which was lovely, especially with the glorious weather we had.
The week before lockdown was enforced, we very luckily had an offer accepted on our first house and our mortgage approved, so it’s been along road to completion, but for the last 6 weeks we have spent most of our free time at the new house. We were not planning on too much of a renovation, but it certainly feels like it has turned out that way. We have been very hands-on though and have had great fun ripping out built-in wardrobes and cupboards, and stripping wallpaper. Next week the real fun starts though, as the kitchen is being fitted, and as the plasterer finishes each room, we’ll be able to get on with decorating! We are hoping (fingers crossed) to move in the second week of August.
I must be honest though and admit that since the beginning of lockdown I have also managed to get through 12 seasons of Greys Anatomy. Impressive, I know 😉.
